Zamość & Roztocze in 60 seconds

Conceived in 1580 by Grand Chancellor Jan Zamoyski and Italian court architect Bernardo Morando, Zamość is one of Europe's rarest examples of a planned Renaissance 'Ideal City' preserved entirely intact. Its monumental Great Market Square is framed by rainbow-hued Armenian merchant arcades and a sweeping double stairway on the Town Hall. Just beyond its star-shaped fortress ramparts lie the pristine river valleys and primeval beech forests of Roztocze National Park.
