Fig Tree Bay
Broad sandy beach with shallow clear water
Come early for the water before the busiest beach hours.

In 60 seconds
Protaras is a resort built around unusually clear, shallow bays; neighbouring Paralimni supplies the year-round town life behind them. Fig Tree Bay is the obvious swim, but smaller coves and the short coastal path offer more space. Climb to Profitis Elias for the shape of the shoreline, then go inland for the churches and ordinary streets of Paralimni. This is an easy beach base, not a secluded village.
