Kravica Waterfalls in 60 seconds

Forming an extraordinary 120-metre-wide natural amphitheatre of tumbling emerald-green cascades in the limestone karst hills of southwestern Herzegovina, Kravica Waterfalls (Vodopad Kravica) is one of the most magnificent natural water spectacles in southeastern Europe. Here, the clear karst waters of the Trebižat River plunge over 25 metres down porous tufa and travertine barriers into a broad, crystal-clear turquoise natural swimming pool framed by weeping willows, poplars, and fig trees. Often compared to an intimate, uncommercialised version of Croatia's Plitvice or Krka, Kravica offers natural wild swimming, wooden canoe rentals, and shaded waterside café-bars built directly beside the spray of the falls.
