Old Man of Storr
Rock pinnacle above the east coast
Go prepared for steep, wet ground and a busy trailhead.

In 60 seconds
Skye's drama is real, but it is spread over an island with narrow roads and changeable weather. Portree is a practical base for the Trotternish peninsula; the Cuillin and western coast require longer drives and different walking skills. Choose one area per day, follow local parking guidance and leave space for an unplanned stop when the light clears. The best visit is slower than the online viewpoint circuit suggests.
