Białowieża Forest & Podlasie in 60 seconds

Straddling the eastern borderland, Białowieża Forest is Europe's last remaining fragment of the vast primeval lowland woodland that covered the continent following the last ice age. Home to the world's largest free-roaming population of European bison (żubr), multi-century oak reserves, and colourful wooden Podlasie villages dotted with Orthodox onion domes and Tatar mosques, this quiet realm represents Poland's wildest ecological sanctuary.
